Help us now with your donation to help the people!

People in Ukraine are hungry. We can help quite simply. You pack a food parcel, according to a list or as you wish. We deliver it personally to Ukraine in our 40-ton trucks.

Ukraine: Refugees on their way to the border

You can help with your donation:

(The list is in order of priority)

  • Donations to buy food for the refugees locally and later to finance transportation.
  • Donations in kind:
    1. Food of all kinds, SattmacherFLEX especially canned food (soup, sausage, meat, fruit, vegetables), but also everything else. Shelf life at least 2 months. Potatoes are also possible. You can pack these foodstuffs appropriately and they are then packed and transported in mesh boxes in our warehouse.
    2. Food parcels: SattmacherXXL in banana boxes, the best way to help! This is also the easiest way to palletize and transport and the most effective way to help a family.
    3. Food parcels: Foodbox in wine cartons
    4. Packages with hygiene articles: Saubermacher
    5. Warm, clean clothes and shoes in good condition
    6. Bandages, plasters, first aid kits.
    7. Comforters, comforters and pillows in good condition as well as sleeping bags (please pack in sturdy plastic bags and label them)
    8. Generators
    9. Comforter covers and sheets (preferably in banana boxes or other boxes, labeled)
    10. Mattresses in good condition (please wrap in foil if possible)
    11. Diapers for children and adults, sanitary towels
    12. Detergent
    13. Selected medications: painkillers, hemostatic agents, etc.
    14. Wood stoves
    15. Wheelchairs, crutches and walking aids
    16. Hospital beds
    17. School furniture
    18. Washing machines
    19. Gas stove with cartridges
    20. Water disinfection
    21. Crockery, cutlery, pots, food processors, etc. Everything you need for cooking and eating.

Of course we are happy about every company that provides us with food, cleaning agents, hygiene articles etc.! We have been working with various large companies for years and are happy about every new contact.

Please bring the donations to the DHHN warehouse or contact us for larger quantities.

At the DHHN warehouse, Auf der Härte 1, 72213 Altensteig, you can place your donations in the wooden hut in front of the warehouse around the clock.

Or you can get your neighbors together and open a collection point by arrangement with us.

Approximately every 14 days, the next transport starts with several trucks to the Ukraine to our orphanage. We distribute some of the relief supplies to the refugees and poor people in the west of Ukraine, while the majority is transported further east and to Kiev by sprinters. I fear that many more transports will have to follow. So you can continue collecting!

The aid campaign will continue over the coming weeks and months. We plan to send 2 trucks with relief supplies to Ukraine every two weeks. Stay tuned!

Foodbox FLEX:

Food of all kinds.

Pack what you find important! The food should keep for 4 weeks.

For example:

  • Canned food (soup, sausage, meat, fruit, vegetables)
  • Potatoes
  • Rice
  • Sweet
  • Spices
  • etc

You can pack these foodstuffs appropriately and they are then packed and transported in mesh boxes in our warehouse.

Foodbox XXL:

Please pack the following items exactly according to the list in a banana box with a lid, all food must have a shelf life of at least 4 weeks:

3l oil (preferably in a plastic bottle)/alternatively margarine

3kg rice

3kg flour

3kg sugar

3kg noodles

1.5 kg wheat semolina (hard or soft wheat)

3kg oat flakes

3 tinned fish in oil

1 pack of salt

1 pack of tea (black tea is the national drink)

3 tubes of multivitamin tablets

3 bars of chocolate

Satisfier:

Please pack the following items exactly according to the list in a wine box with a lid, all foodstuffs must keep for at least 4 weeks. You can find wine cartons filled with wine bottles in supermarkets, the cartons of 6 1-liter bottles fit particularly well.

2l oil / alternative margarine

1kg rice

2kg flour

1kg sugar

1 tube of multivitamin tablets

1 pack of tea (black tea is the national drink)

500g noodles

Cleaner:

Please pack the following items exactly according to the list in a wine box with a lid. You can find wine cartons filled with wine bottles in supermarkets, the cartons of 6 1l bottles fit particularly well.

2kg heavy-duty detergent

1l all-purpose cleaner

1 bottle of shampoo (500ml)

1 bottle of dishwashing liquid (concentrate, 500ml)

1 toothpaste

3 toothbrushes

2 bars of soap

1 pack of pot ringers (pack of 3)

1 Household cleaning cloths (pack of 6)

Print out the posters and publicize the campaign. At the bakery, butcher or petrol station etc. Here you will also find packing lists and an appeal for donations to print out.

Since the beginning of the war, numerous "convoys of hope" have been able to travel to Ukraine.

Thank you for your great support! Together we can help.

DHHN and Waisenhilfe – two experienced partners for direct aid in Ukraine.

DHHN brings relief supplies to Eastern Europe in its own truck, while Waisenhilfe personally supplies orphans and people in need with food and relief supplies on site in Ukraine.

Both German organizations have been working closely with each other and our partners in Ukraine for over 20 years. In Ushgorod, the capital of the Transcarpathian region, we have a large warehouse and several buildings, all permits from the Ukrainian authorities and a long-standing network relationship with many other churches and organizations in western Ukraine, which we have already provided humanitarian aid to. Even during the pandemic restrictions, we were able to organize regular transports to Ukraine and visit our project partners on site. We have also been organizing German-Ukrainian meeting weeks and joint aid campaigns for young people for many years.

If, for reasons not yet known to us, the donations cannot be brought to Ukraine or too many donations are received for Ukraine, we will use them for other aid projects in Eastern Europe.
